At Key Martial Arts we try to make it as easy as possible for for students to get involved with martial arts, so we don't make students buy the whole kit and caboodle to get started. As students show their committment to their training and progress to more advanced activities their equipment needs change in order for them to get the most out of their training.
Please find a summary of what equipment student's need and when. Please keep in mind that you are welcome purchanse gear earlier if you feel the need for it.
Beginners:
Comfortable clothes and loose fitting clothes (dresses/skirts not reccomended for girls)
Optional: Karate uniform
Orange Belt:
Must wear current awarded belt in class, uniform highly recommended
Purple Belt:
Mouthguard (all students) and groin guard (male students)
Optional: Cloth/foam or dipped foam gloves, foot protectors and head gear (These items are provided in class)
Blue Belt:
Must wear Uniform (Gi) in class with belt. Gi top can be substituted for Key Martial Arts T-Shirt.
